Ingredients

For the Brisket

  • 3-4 pounds Beef Brisket Choose a tender cut.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Optional for searing.

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.

For Cooking Liquid

  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce Your favorite variety.
  • 1 cup Beef Broth Keeps brisket moist.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • Trim excess fat from the beef brisket and pat it dry.
  • In a bowl, combine onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  • Generously coat the brisket with the spice mixture, pressing it into the meat.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the brisket for 2–3 minutes on each side.
  • Place the seasoned brisket in the slow cooker and pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce around the edges.
  • Spread your choice of BBQ sauce generously over the top of the brisket.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8–10 hours.
  • Once done, remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Slice against the grain or shred for serving.

Notes

Optional: Serve with fresh herbs or pickles for a lovely garnish. Keep leftovers stored properly in airtight containers for up to 4 days.
