Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound Boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil or butter

For the Pasta

  • 8 ounces Rotini or fusilli pasta

For the Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce Tamari can be used for gluten-free
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly cracked black pepper Adjust to taste
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Arrowroot powder or flour can substitute

For Garnishing

  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley Chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Cut chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente, usually 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, and black pepper to the skillet, stirring well and simmering for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then add it to the sauce, stirring until thickened.
  • Return chicken to the skillet, coat in sauce, add pasta and mix well.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in soy sauce and honey before cooking.
