Instructions

How to Make Savory Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Spread the frozen French fries evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish and bake according to package directions (approximately 20-25 minutes) until golden brown.
  • While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. If using onion, add it now and sauté until soft, then drain excess fat.
  • Sprinkle in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, mixing well to season the beef thoroughly.
  • Once the fries are baked, reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C). Layer the seasoned beef mixture over fries, followed by a topping of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Return the casserole to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with diced tomatoes and fresh parsley. Add pickles if desired.

Notes

For a burst of flavor, consider adding jalapeños before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
