How to Make Savory Breakfast Sausages

  • In a large bowl, mix together ground pork, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, sage, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and water. Stir gently until just combined.
  • Divide the mixture into small, even portions and shape them into patties approximately 2.5 to 3 inches wide.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties in a single layer for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the cooked sausages to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess fat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
