Instructions

How to Make Classic Rich Peanut Butter Cookies

  • In a large bowl, beat together the creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  • Mix in the large egg and vanilla extract until the dough is smooth and combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion out dough and roll into balls. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Press down on each dough ball with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 9–11 minutes until lightly golden, but still soft in the center.
  • Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before serving.
