Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 2 medium Jalapeños fresh, seed removal optional
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese substitute with Monterey Jack if desired
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder or substitute with fresh garlic
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika or use regular paprika for less smokiness
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

For Garnishing

  • 1 medium Sliced Jalapeños for topping

Preparation

  • Preheat your broiler or oven to high heat. Place fresh jalapeños on a baking sheet and let them broil for about 5 minutes, until the skins are blistered and charred. Rotate them halfway through for even roasting.

  • Cool and peel the jalapeños once they're out of the oven. Allow them to rest for a few minutes until cool enough to handle. Peel off the skin, remove the seeds if you want less heat, and chop them finely.

  • Mix ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Combine the softened cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, green onions, salt, and pepper.
