  • 4 cloves Fresh Garlic (minced) Substitute with 1/3 amount of garlic powder.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Rosemary (chopped) Other herbs can be used for variation.

Instructions

Method

  • In a mixing bowl, stir together warm water, sugar, and yeast; let it stand for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy and bubbly.
  • Add in the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until a shaggy dough forms. Then, stir in half of the olive oil.
  • On a floured surface, knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Grease a muffin tin generously with olive oil; punch down dough and divide into muffin cups.
  • Brush tops with remaining olive oil, sprinkle with minced garlic and chopped rosemary, and let rest for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake muffins for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool in the tin for 5 minutes before removing.
