Instructions

Making Brownies

  • Begin by pitting the fresh Medjool dates. If they feel a bit firm, soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes, then drain before use.
  • In a food processor, combine the pitted dates and raw walnuts, pulsing until the mixture turns crumbly and sticky.
  • Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix again until a cohesive dough forms.
  • Line a square 8x8 inch dish with parchment paper. Press the brownie mixture evenly into the bottom.
  • Place the dish in the fridge for at least 1 hour to firm up.
