  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts Boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup Flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour

For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Chicken broth Low-sodium preferred
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Can substitute with olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Parsley Freshly chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Preparation

  • Start by gently pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness; season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly coat each piece of chicken in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat until melted and sizzling.
  • Add the floured chicken to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter, followed by the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and chicken broth, stirring well and letting it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each piece, and let it cook together for an additional minute.
  • Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for a burst of flavor.
